which paint color to go with?
Hi guys, please help! We enter our new house next week. It a dark terra cotta (a kind of brown tint to it) of carpet, we have leather sofas ivory / cream and a couple of red lamps. We want paint the walls in neutral colors, but would really appreciate your advice authentic. the wall color and paint the ceiling should we choose, and what accessories color to complement the decor? PLEASE NOTE: We can not afford to change the carpet or the sofa now. I forgot to mention that it would be our living room. We want it to look modern but not drastically. thank you very much for all your advice.
Paint the walls of color of coffee with too much cream. Then try to find the accent colors in the way of pillows, a small rug under the coffee table and accessories the colors of fall. This will allow the room to be warm and welcoming. The fall colors are red, rusty orange and yellow gold with some sage greens. These colors can be found in the tissues (draperies and decorative pillows or) and used in the rest of the room. You can even find the inspiration of the colors in an accessory that you still have to find. Often, a shopping trip will help you decide which direction to go, and color wise. I often take the credit card and go buy a ton of accessories and take 'em home to try. I keep what I like and what works and then return the rest. Sometimes you just need something to inspire your entire room. If you feel the red lamps are no longer working for your new place, you can easily spray paint. Spray paint is amazing these days because there are so many colors and new metal and metallic finishes can transform any object.
